You know, if I were really, honestly trying to transform the Culture War into an actual shooting war, I’d do something much like the current campaign to ban the Confederate flag.
If you really want to rally your opposition, give them a symbol. Sorry for quoting myself, but this is the kind of thing I’m talking about:
For many ordinary folks in Weimar, the one thing you weren’t allowed to be was German. The Kaiser, the Imperial War Flag, Die Wacht am Rhein… for a nation that really only became a nation in the 1870s, i.e. in the crucible of war and empire, those things were Germany. And those things were banned. You could be a communist, sure, or some flavor of “social democrat,” or an artist, or a cabaret singer, or a morphine addict, or a homosexual, or a wage slave to foreign banks…. but a German? Verboten!
As I’ve said many times, a major part of Hitler’s appeal to ordinary Germans was that his very presence was a middle finger to weak-kneed liberal internationalists. The Commies want to sell you out to foreign (Jewish) intellectuals, he told his audiences, while the Social Democrats want to sell you out to foreign (Jewish) banks. A vote for the NSDAP is a thumb in both their eyes.
Put on the swastika armband and let them all know where you stand, he told them… and they did, and when they looked around, they saw hundreds, then thousands, then tens of thousands of people just like them.
Our SJWs are creating exactly those kinds of conditions today. It won’t take much for folks to start wearing Confederate flag patches on their clothing, in mute protest at everything that’s being shoved down our throats — all the so-called “equality” and “social justice” that really boils down to this:
Let me be clear on this, lest anyone be tempted to miss my point: One doesn’t make sophisticated arguments with symbols. The actual history behind the “Confederate flag” doesn’t matter, because nobody cares about that stuff. All that matters is that people like that “let us abolish you” chick hate it. One doesn’t make sophisticated arguments with selfies, either, and everybody knows what “let us abolish you” means. By pushing things in this direction, SJWs are quite literally daring folks to slap Confederate flags all over their clothing, as their way of saying “no, sit down and let us abolish you!”
And the Confederate flag-wearers are armed.
Thank God the Charleston church shooter was a disgusting omega dreg, and looked it. But the kid some media-frenzied Michael Brown goes out and shoots in “revenge” might not be. The absolute nightmare scenario would be a ghetto thug gunning down a cute blond girl with a Confederate flag patch. Any guesses as to what happens then? Anyone want to lay odds on this not happening sometime in the next year or so?
The media sure as hell seems eager for it to happen.

Well, duh. The Left loved the “Lincoln Brigades”. The Left loved WWI, and WWII, events that were enormous victories for them. And while far too many on the Right love Rping Eeyore, they are losing the culture war. They have some meaningless victories, such as “gay marriage”, but the stuff they really care about, like infanticide and disarming the population? Going down in flames. And it seems to be getting worse and worse for them, as the technological future they put such hope in turns against them. Cat scans have done so much to make people aware that babies are alive way before they touch air. Desktop manufacturing is going to be the death of “gun control”, and we all know it. A war? A change to “re-roll” the die? Yes, they want that, they have wanted it since the 70s (Thus all the Democrat Terrorist groups) and they think they can win it. Funny, funny, funny……

ALL ROADS LEAD TO THE MSM.
I know the carping about biased news coverage gets boring, but IMHO this cannot be emphasized enough. How much “progressive” bullshit would get any traction at all without the continual distortion, straight-out lies and omission of facts that don’t fit their bogus, leftist “narrative,” without the daily manipulation of people’s worldview, the mass indoctrination?
Just today, I heard about the Bridge to Peace event, four days after it happened, a mere 10,000 – 20,000 people on Charleston’s Ravenel Bridge joined in a peaceful “show of solidarity” for the nine blacks murdered by the “disgusting omega dreg.”
Evidently there was some reporting of it, but it was rather muted so I missed it until now. But I certainly would not have missed the story, had it happened, of a few dozen criminals rioting, looting and burning downtown Charleston–no way I’d have missed that because coverage would have been round-the-clock on CNN and Fox, and hammered mercilessly on every other “news” outlet: TV, radio, newspaper, internet and anything else you can think of.
Let that sink in a moment: the MSM evidently thinks the actions of a few dozen thugs and agitators is many times more important than that of maybe 15,000 decent folks.
The good people of Charleston, by failing to turn to hatred and violence, thwarted the MSM’s favored narrative, forcing them to settle for a shoddy Plan B, this stupid nonsense about the Confederate flag. This was the best they could do, but somehow the story had to be about racist whites oppressing blacks. If you didn’t know any better, you might actually think those fine folks in the MSM would like to see a race war.
It’s more than just the media. Since it’s in vogue right now, I’ma quote myself:

The word we’re all looking for this morning is “Caesarism.” A useful word, that describes Weimar America perfectly.

Yes, it’s more than just the media, but the media plays a big role in so much of it. In the quoted section, you list “the media (either news or entertainment)” as one of just three “high-profile, high-influence spots” where those who seek “to corrupt the game itself” go to do their dirty work. So perhaps you already agree they’re a big part of the problem.
What I mean by “All roads lead to the MSM” is if you look at almost any situation where the “game has been corrupted,” the constitution trashed or the country despoiled by some steaming pile of progressive BS, an essential ingredient that makes the outrage possible is the daily, full-throated backing of the MSM.
A few examples:
1) The lightning-quick speed at which gay marriage went from a possibility to “the law of the land” and an obligatory idea;
2) The sudden, manufactured war between blacks and the vilified police;
3) The “established,” debate-is-over status of climate “science”;
4) Shoving the unpopular Obamacare down the throat of the entire country;
5) Making non-issues out of Benghazi, thousands of Hillary’s deleted emails (and her almost-certainly hacked server) and about $850 BILLION of wasted (or stolen) “stimulus” money;
6) Smearing “tea party” to mean “know-nothing racist”, and
7) The fawning, obsequious, in-the-tank support for the stinking reign of King Barack.
Pick out almost any social or political trainwreck and you’ll find the MSM in there, helping derail the train. It’s the gun powder without which a bullet is just a lead-tipped cartridge. Supposedly everyone on the right knows this so well, they’re sick of hearing the constant complaining about it. But I don’t think that’s quite right. They see the heavy-handed bias and are disgusted by it, but do not IMHO fully appreciate the actual power of MSM, that it’s the engine powering the left’s bulldozer.
If the right did fully appreciate this power, they wouldn’t just bitch&moan occasionally and then quit because they’re bored and tired of it. They’d be screaming bloody murder daily at the top of their lungs. Maybe someone might even do something clever like Breitbart or James O’Keefe did and stage big events–media bear-traps set with juicy bait the lefty MSM can’t resist–to demonstrate how ridiculous and partisan the MSM is. Like the little man behind the curtain in The Wizard of Oz, the MSM cannot tolerate being revealed for what they are because their power depends on a large mass of people actually believing the warped, partial, one-sided sewage they spew.
That’s why I wrote “ALL ROADS LEAD TO THE MSM” here and a few other places on the web–as a slogan and reminder that this country is being dragged around by the MSM like dog on a choke leash. Maybe some people will understand it and start screaming bloody murder, and setting traps that use media power against the MSM itself.
I wish I shared Robert’s optimism. I really, really want to.
But right now… I just don’t.

Here’s what I don’t understand: WHY? WHY do they want a war?
It would be like a bunch of neo-nazi’s suddenly, loudly declaring that they’re going to finally get rid of all jews… in the middle of Israel. Where the military, and the armed citizenry, are all Jews. Why would anyone try starting a war they are in no position to win.
Is like if Vatican City declared war on the USA? They have such blind faith in God (or in this case I suppose it would be “the progress of history”) that anything like numbers, weapons, or tactics is of no concern? Are they just suicidal?
