Crazy Idea

arottenchestnutThis goes along with the bumpersticker politics of the, as Dear Leader says, “false choice” between schools and bombs.  But this time, it’s schools and prisons.

But the big question here I want to ask, and Morgan has asked it as well, what do they mean by “fully funded”?  What percentage of funded are they now?  What dollar amount would make them “fully funded”?  They don’t have a concrete answer.  It’s pretty much always “more”.

Not to mention the fact that … if you did this, you might have your schools overrun by criminals.  Just a thought.

“Fully Funded” is the amount where their policies stop being such failures and start working. Alas, they cannot go back to the successful policies, for then they would be standing with the Conservatives, so Pride is on the line. So exciting new Progressive programs, that only failed because of lack of proper funding. Just ask them. And, of course, everyone wants to be a Chief, darn few want to be an Indian……

One doesn’t have to look any further than where I reside, NY State, for the falseness of more money spent on education equals awesomeness. We spend the highest per student in the country, which contributes to the highest property taxes in the country. Also, not to overlook, we have the highest revenue producing lottery in the country which equals to additional 3 billion being sent to our education department.

And what do we get for all this money, the worst possible results. We have the worst drop out rate and the worst student performance in the country.

And what do the Jackwagons in charge, read Liberals, ALWAYS state as the remedy to correct these problems? Yup, more money.

“It will be a great day when the schools have all the money they need, and the Air Force has to hold a bake sale to buy a new bomber.” – bumper sticker seen on cars everywhere back in the 80s and 90s

I used to see that in traffic and think, “It will be a great day when the Air Force has all the money IT needs, and the welfare office has to hold a bake sale to pass out this month’s AFDC checks. The progressive busybodies are fond of pointing out how there always seems to be enough money to fight a war…but it also seems like we always have enough to hand out food stamps to yet another person. (EBT has quadrupled since 2000 and now nearly 1 in 6 Americans are drawing benefits.)

I won’t even get started on what the Constitution has to say on the matter of spending on defense vs spending on….social causes.
